Daniel J. Cosio

Daniel has been experimenting with composition and arrangement for over a decade. Daniel specializes in brass ensembles of various sizes, specifically trombone ensembles (both legit and jazz), but also single/double brass quintet, alto/tenor/bass trombone soloist and piano, and more. Daniel has also composed/arranged pieces for big band and wind ensemble. One of Daniel’s first piano pieces won the State level of the Reflections Composition Competition in 2014. Some of Daniel’s more recent projects include arranging every single song of progressive metal pioneer Periphery for trombone octet and rhythm section, and arranging popular Jacob Collier pieces for full big band.
